Murals, gardens, arroyos, courtyards, sculptures and unique art designs are scattered throughout the Mesa Art Center’s seven-acre campus. Mesa Shakespeare Company.
For over ten years, the Southwest Shakespeare Company has brought dozens of Shakespeare’s works to the center stage. Classically trained, professional actors play out famed Shakespearean characters while addressing contemporary relevance. Since 1956, the Symphony of the Southwest, formerly known at the Mesa Symphony Orchestra, has been entertaining orchestral music lovers with quality, inspiring symphonic performances. The Symphony of the Southwest blends culture, education and music in an attempt to keep the classical music tradition alive. Under the direction of Maestro Cal Stewart Kellogg, all ages will enjoy regular season concerts at the Mesa Arts Center’s Ikeda Theater. Other performances also take place at other East Valley locations.
